about our programs

A Midwinter Night’s Dream (AMND) runs five unique programs for students. Each program is devoted to a different facet in the fight against ALS. Our programs raise funds and awareness for ALS, as well as educate students in philanthropy. Through each program, students learn the importance of teamwork, communication, marketing, and leadership. Students, alumni, teachers and fellow community members have dedicating endless time and effort over the past seven years for those afflicted with ALS. Each program offered provides great opportunities to get involved in the fight against ALS. With this, we hope to one-day put an end to this disease.

fundraising AMND’s fundraising program is the backbone of the organization. Students learn the responsibilities of business, communication and marketing. The students are responsible for running an entire gala event for 600 people.	science research The AMND research program provides high school students with an opportunity to work in a professional laboratory setting with scientists to conduct ALS research. Every summer, students work in research labs across the country.
AMND chapters  The Chapter program is an outlet for AMND alumni at their college or university OR for other students in high schools across the nation to become familiar with AMND’s mission  and then to initiate their own fundraiser similar to AMND	philanthropy center The AMND Philanthropy Center is a way for A Midwinter Night’s Dream to pass along knowledge, experience and techniques of fundraising to younger students. The mission of the center is to enrich the altruistic perspectives of young people and adults.
patient services AMND’s patient services program allows students to directly connect with ALS patients and understand the effects of the disease. Students travel to the homes of patients to provide help with daily tasks, as well as simple companionship.
